Tackled ("Tackled", "we", "us", "our") provides a multi-tenant helpdesk platform for IT companies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal data when you visit tackled.io, request a demo, or use the Tackled application.
1. Who we are
Tackled is the data controller for personal data collected through our marketing website and sales process. When you use the Tackled application to support your own customers, you are the controller of the ticket and contact data you process, and Tackled acts as your data processor. If you have questions about this policy, reach us via ourcontact form.
2. Personal data we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Contact & demo requests: Name, work email, company name, and team size when you submit our contact form or book a demo.
- Account data: Registration details, agent profiles, and billing information when you subscribe.
- Communication data: The content of messages you send us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and navigation patterns.
- Device data: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Log data: IP address, timestamps, and error logs for security and reliability.
2.3 Customer content in the application
When you connect a support mailbox, Tackled processes the emails, tickets, contacts, and attachments your clients send you. Each client tenant is stored in a dedicated database. We process this content only to provide the service to you and under your instructions.
3. How we use your data

- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Tackled platform.
- Send service-related communications and, with consent, product updates.

- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
- Contract: To deliver the services you have requested or subscribed to.
- Consent: For optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies.
- Legitimate interests: To secure, maintain, and improve our services.
- Legal obligation: To meet accounting, tax, and other legal requirements.
5. Data isolation & hosting
Tackled isolates each client tenant in its own dedicated database. Data is hosted on reputable cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. We apply access controls so that customer content is only accessible to authorized personnel for support and operational purposes.
6. Data sharing
We may share data with:
- Sub-processors: Trusted providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payments, under data-processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: Where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. Data retention
- Demo & contact requests: Retained for up to 3 years from last contact.
- Account & customer content: Retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted after account closure, subject to legal retention periods.
- Logs: Retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and object to certain processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use our contact form. Where Tackled acts as a processor, we will refer requests to the relevant customer (controller).
9. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
10. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, per-tenant database isolation, access controls, and monitoring — to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our measures regularly.
11. Children's privacy
Tackled is a business tool not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
