Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-06-01
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tackled website and helpdesk platform ("Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing tackled.io or using the Tackled application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. We may modify these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. The Services
Tackled is a multi-tenant helpdesk platform for IT companies. It ingests email from connected support mailboxes, converts messages into tickets, isolates each client in a dedicated database, and tracks service-level agreements (SLAs). Specific features vary by subscription plan.
3. Accounts & eligibility
Access to the application requires an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete registration information.
- Keep your credentials confidential and secure.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and agent seats.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Tackled is a closed platform; access is granted to subscribing customers and their authorized agents.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- The Services are provided on a subscription basis, billed per agent seat.
- Fees are charged in advance for the billing period you select (monthly or annual).
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.
- We may suspend Services for non-payment.
5. Customer content
You retain ownership of the emails, tickets, contacts, and other data you and your clients submit through the Services ("Customer Content"). You grant Tackled a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Content solely to provide and improve the Services. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions for the Customer Content you process, and for your clients' data within your tenants.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringe the rights of others or submit unlawful content.
- Transmit malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other tenants.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Use the Services to send spam or for fraudulent activity.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Services except as permitted by law.
7. Service availability
We work to keep the Services available and reliable, and higher-tier plans may include an uptime commitment. From time to time we may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. Except where expressly stated in a plan, the Services are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
8. Intellectual property
The Tackled platform, website, software, trademarks, and content are owned by Tackled or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services for their intended purpose during your subscription.
9. Third-party services
The Services integrate with third-party providers such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms, and Tackled is not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Except as expressly stated, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tackled shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases, and we may delete Customer Content after a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements. You may request an export of your Customer Content before deletion.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Tackled is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
